Attorney Mencuccini grew up in the Torrington, Connecticut, area and attended local area schools. Upon graduating from high school, he attended Stanford University, from which he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971. After an eight (8) year period of helping to manage his family’s supermarket business, he attended Vermont Law School in South Royalton, Vermont. He received his Juris Doctorate degree and graduated Cum Laude in 1982. Admitted to the practice of law in 1982, Attorney Mencuccini practices exclusively as a litigation trial attorney. His civil litigation experience includes representation of individuals sustaining personal injuries in automobile accidents and due to defects in premises, both private and commercial, as well as actions for wrongful death. Attorney Mencuccini has also represented individuals who have suffered financial loss and injury from misrepresentation, fraud and due to professional malpractice of others.
Attorney Mencuccini’s civil trial experience includes securing jury verdicts in trials for personal injuries suffered in automobile accidents or due to defective premises. He has also secured favorable jury verdicts in professional malpractice actions. Attorney Mencuccini also has extensive experience defending individuals charged with crimes. His criminal jury trial experience includes the defense of individuals charged with murder, rape, distribution of narcotics and other controlled substances, driving while under the influence and other serious offenses.
Attorney Mencuccini most recently represented one of the eight defendants charged in the high profile murder of Mary Ann Measles of New Milford, Connecticut. He also recently secured an acquittal in the DWI trial of State v. Carey before the Connecticut Superior Court, Litchfield, Connecticut.

Attorney Mencuccini serves as a member of the Torrington Coalition to Stop Underage Drinking. He was appointed by the Mayor, Mr. Owen Quinn, to this position in 2004. Attorney Mencuccini is a member of the Torrington Country Club, Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the B.P.O.E. #372. |
