Admitted to the practice of law in 1982, Attorney Logan currently practices exclusively as a trial lawyer accepting cases involving serious personal injury and criminal defense. An honors graduate of Western New England College School of Law, Attorney Logan attended the University of Connecticut for his undergraduate studies. His trial experience includes being lead counsel in trials involving medical malpractice, product liability, automobile accidents, divorce, custody, will contests, criminal law, juvenile law, building contracts, employment law, property disputes, zoning and inland wetlands appeals. He has also tried contested matters before the Worker’s Compensation Commission, the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the Freedom of Information Commission, the Liquor Control Commission, and the Department of Motor Vehicles. Connecticut Magazine has listed Attorney Logan as Torrington's only "Super Lawyer" in its 2006, 2007 and 2008 publications.
Attorney Logan has been appointed as an Attorney Factfinder, Arbitrator and Attorney Trial Referee.

REPORTED CASES
Attorney Logan successfully convinced the Connecticut Supreme Court to expand the concept of "wrongful termination" to employees fired because they refused to perform hazardous work beyond the original scope of their employment. A landmark case, Parsons v. United Technologies, 243 Conn. 66 (1997), was widely reported both throughout the nation’s print media and legal community. IN THE COMMUNITY
A past president of the Torrington Rotary Club, John Logan’s service to the Torrington community has earned him the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Presently, Attorney Logan serves as a member of the Avon Inland Wetlands Commission and the Democratic Town Committee of Avon. He is a member of B.P.O.E. #372, the Torrington Country Club, the Golf Club of Avon and the Northwest Chamber of Commerce. He is the past chair the Archbishop Whalen Golf Tournament for the Catholic Family Charities. . He lives in Avon with his wife and children.
